Does Mirena coil cause abdominal bloating?

I had the Mirena fitted 6 weeks ago and it has settled down over that time but I do seem to be growing round the middle. I look pregnant! My tummy sticks out as far as my boobs (and that's a considerable way).

I'm off to the GP next week for a check but I wondered if this was a common side effect? Has anyone else swelled up too??

How long did you last before taking it out? I have appt with GP on Tuesday and not sure whether to keep it. It seems to have killed my libido too but it has sorted my heavy periods out! Decisions, decisions....

Poor you. It's bloody horrible, isn't it (please excuse the pun!).
