I had it done at 9am this morning.

Any tips or tricks please? I’ve set alarms for my pain relief, keeping a gel ice pack on my neck and sipping ice water.

thank you!

Eat normally. It helps with the healing process. Any sign of feeling unwell, feels like tonsillitis symptoms, get to the docs, it's probably infected (very common). It took me a fortnight to fully recover but I got an infection and I was poorly with that.

Pain meds to the max at 1st. Lots of cold drinks, I used to send my DH to get me slush puppies about 3 times a day and try to eat as normally as possible, although it hurts ir really helps clean all the scabs away and use the muscles, keeps the blood flowing for healing in the area. My healing process was really straight forward and having the op was life changing for me who would get infection after infection all year round!
