Has anyone got hyperparathyroid disease (or being investigated for it) and want to moan about how crap it is?

Just that really.

I first went to my GP about a year ago about lots of vague niggles and symptoms and just generally feeling unwell and blood tests led to a surprise diagnosis of hyperparathyroid disease.

I’m just so fed up of feeling unwell every day and nobody else really understanding all the ways it impacts on your health and day to day functioning.

I need to moan with people in the same boat 😞

Not me but my dsis. She had surgery last year but the hospital faffed about with her for about 2 years. During that time she had endless scans and bloods tests and her calcium levels were always so high. She felt so unwell.

Have you had surgery yet?

Hello, I had surgery for this very recently!
Still feeling a bit ropey but glad it's behind me now.
The only cure is surgery.
Have you joined any of the fb groups?

Ive spoken to an Endocrinologist who based on my blood tests is pretty confident it’s primary HPTD and he’s arranging to see me in his clinic.

I am part of a FB group and it’s great, but it seems to be very much based on policies, bloods and post-op care etc so it’s full of very knowledgable people, but it’s not got the atmosphere of somewhere to go and vent and off-load about how rubbish day-to-day life is pre-op and get support in that sense, if you know what I mean?
