Horrid coughing virus & sense of taste off

Anyone else got a horrible respiratory virus at the moment? Mine started at the weekend, coughing all night, burning throat, sense of taste affected with some foods tasting completely wrong. Just generally feeling run down and a bit shivery. Got a negative Covid test but feels worse than just a cold.

Ds has it. Horrible cough, sore throat, slightly raised temp. Don't know about the taste thing. Never occurred to me to test for Covid (not that we have any tests in the house).

I just wanted to check you aren't using an old covid test - they do go off so worth getting a new one.

What is the point of testing for Covid? 🤔 What difference does it make?

Probably a false negative on the Covid test.

Nosiness of wanting to know what's wrong with me!

It's an odd time of year to be ill which makes me think Covid rather than cold.

My boss went to a conference a few weeks ago and they all came back with it - I assume it was Covid!

Yes I have this just now- started 10 days ago with dry cough and then got worse to sore throat and coughing all the time n no taste/smell - also pulled a muscle in my back from all the coughing n generally feel rundown. Been 10 days now n not coughing as much at all but not gone completely.
