Recovering from food poisoning, what should I eat over the next week?

I'm getting over the worst bout of some kind of food poisoning. Finally turning a corner.

I've eaten 100 - 200 calories for the last 3 - 4 days. What's a good recovery diet for the next 7 days?

Not sure you need a rigid ‘recovery diet’ for the next seven days, just start with bland foods i.e. tea and toast and then gently start to reintroduce nutrient-dense whole foods and plenty of fluids until you feel back to yourself. Peppermint and ginger teas will hydrate and quell any leftover feelings of an upset stomach, and perhaps consider starting a probiotic to help rebuild your gut barrier.
Glad you’re starting to feel better. 💐

Keep it plain as PP said.

Start with plain carbs and water. Avoid anything with a high fat content, anything spicy, acidic or alcoholic. Eat little and often.

Have you taken some rehydration powders that will restore your electrolytes?

You really can eat anything that is actually appealing. Toast is a good start. Water filled fruits for a second phase.

Tinned peaches and pears in syrup are indulgent normally, but good if you need to hydrate and replace electrolytes.

Honestly someone told me to eat plain macdonald's food for recovery, and this always works for me and my family, nuggets, fries, plain burgers, pancakes, cola, it's bland, it's high calories and seems to be go easy on the stomach. We also eat baked potatoes, ice lollies, toast and buttered pasta to get back on our feet

Dioralyte
(or Lucozade or flat coke)

Ginger biscuits
cream crackers
toast

Be guided by what your body is telling you

As children we always had Heinz tomato soup - in fact I only associate it with recovering from an illness now!

I always feel like toast, breadsticks, plain jacket potatoes, orange or lemon ice lollies, orange flavoured lucozade sport, crackers. Generally after a couple of days I go back to eating mainly like normal I just avoiding anything fried or dairy for another couple of days after that.
