Anxiety and pain medication

Has anyone tried pregabalin for nerve pain and anxiety? I have bad health anxiety and generalised anxiety which manifests in everything. I have been prescribed pregabalin 25mg but I’m reluctant to take them because of side effects. Has anyone had any experience of these? I’m at the end of my tether from trying different medications that don’t cause bad tummy ache and constipation. I’ve tried amytriptiline, duloxetine, fluoxetine and all of them mess with my digestion. I have siatica and am a runner, but can’t run at the moment because of my pain. I also have very bad health anxiety which has got worse the last five years due to several bad health scares. Now I keep wondering what’s next. Has anyone got any advice please?

Hi op. Pregablin is supposed to be very good for anxiety. 25mg is a very small dose. It should relax you a bit.

I tried it for nerve pain, it didn't work for me but the only real side effect I had from it was that it affected my balance sometimes (usually when standing on one leg). I was on a much higher dose than you though. ISTR it was quite helpful for my anxiety too.

Just try it. If it doesn’t help or you have side effects you can always stop it ?

Thanks for that, I will let you know when I take it if it does.
