Laparoscopy to remove ovary

I have a small benign tumour on my ovary and so have to have it removed, along with some polyps in my womb. Has anyone had this procedure? How long does it take to recover?

Wishing you all the luck. I haven’t had this specifically but had endometriosis removed by lap and it took 3 weeks, and even then I wasn’t 100% but could drive. I was tired and emotional for some time afterwards

Had it done before, it’s very minimally invasive. I was sore and bloated for three days but otherwise fine. Best of luck.

I don’t recall that it took long to recover at all.

I'm mid 50s and recovery took a really good 8 -10 weeks. The nurses said if I worked then they would sign me off for 8 weeks and no driving either for 6. I had a bruise like I'd been kicked by a horse and I got an infection which also slowed recovery.

I had a laparoscopy for a cyst in my 20s and recovered within a couple of weeks.
