Skin Melanoma appointment

So for around about a year/18 months I’ve had a raised red spot on my shin- went to the doctors who referred me to dermatology. Had an appointment last Wednesday with teledermy where they took photos. I’ve now got an appointment on Monday 6th and it says on the nhs app 2 week wait skin melanoma face to face.
does anyone have an experience or advice for me please? Xxx

Do you know it’s melanoma? I had a raised red spot on my face for ages which I eventually went to the doctor about. Referred to dermatology and diagnosed with actinic keratosis which was treated with a chemo cream and disappeared after a few weeks. Technically it’s a pre-cancerous lesion but it was simple to treat and nothing to worry about.

I've gone private for mine and been waiting 6 weeks. Appointment is on Thursday. NHS was over 2 years. I. In Brighton

No I don’t know if it melanoma or not that’s just what it says on the letter. Trying to not over think and think positive. Blimey 2 years that’s a long time, surely it should be sooner.
