after 4 weeks of lots of different 7 day antibiotics what can i do to help my gut and vaginal flora back to normal.
after suffering a uti and lots of different antibiotics i think i’ve got a hold of the infection but i feel so fatigued, tired and just meh! 😒
it’s been so debilitating i just want to get back to myself i don’t have much energy at all.
is this normal for taking all of these antibiotics and fighting an infection?

Eat as many different plants, nuts, seeds and grains as possible and try to spread these throughout the day. Drink Kefir and eat unpasteurised kimchi. Avoid ultra processed foods. Drink plenty of water.

Dr Meghan Rossi on Instagram is a gut health scientist. She has loads of tips. In particular, look at her post from 17 May which recommends different strains of probiotics for different conditions. There is a post-antibiotic strain recommended in there.

i don’t know about gut health OP but I feel your pain - I used to get UTIs frequently for years and years and they are just awful. I wanted to share what eventually helped and actually stopped them was a 6 month course of prophylactic trimethoprin where I took one a day. I was fastidious about emptying my bladder after DTD and amazingly it worked. So glad you are better, do consider it if they are a regular occurrence.
