Dd is 8 and has several of her permanent teeth through now. She had a bit of a problem with one of her front teeth coming out see here (namechanged from loopity since then).
Her gumline is still noticeably assymetrical 18 months down the line. The side where the tooth came out with the root is much higher than the other one. Our own dentist saw it at her last appt about 5 or 6 months ago and advised to 'wait and see' at this stage. She's due another check-up in a few weeks time. I suppose my main concern is that her gumline will remain like this permanently. Although dd doesn't notice it now, I'm worried that she could become more self-conscious of her smile as she gets older.
Does anyone know if the gumline may eventually come down further or if we can perhaps encourage it by massaging or brushing? Any advice appreciated.
Thanks, toadette.
