Recurring ringworm

This is driving me mad. I have had bouts of ringworm on and off since my late teens. I treat it with hydrocortisone cream as my doctor reccomended which clears it up but it always reappears. Has anyone used anything that has stopped it and kept it away? I'm at my wits end!

Are you sure its ringworm as that would usually be treated with an antifungal cream, not hydrocortisone

Hydrocortisone makes ringworm worse! You need an anti-fungal.

My doctor diagnosed it as ringworm and i use hydrocortisone cream as that is what my gp suggested.

Is it a combined antifungal/hydrocortisone cream? If it responds to just hydrocortisone then it sounds like its not ringworm - maybe a type of eczema instead?

Ringworm won't get better with hydrocortisone it's antifungal you need.

You need something like Daktarin to clear it up. It's the same cream that treats athlete's foot. It is an anti-fungal cream. That's what doctors normally advise for ringworm.

OK I will try and anti-fungal cream instead.
