IBS and pregnancy

I've had IBS since the age of about 8-9 - it was awful during my teens/early twenties but has settled down over the last few years now that I work more regular hours. I'm now 5 weeks pg and I've noticed I feel very bloated and have (tmi alert) had some very, ahem, loose motions - although not like the normal cramps/diarrhea I normally get. Is this typical of early pregnancy?

Would be interested in any other IBS sufferers experiences too.

My IBS improved quite a bit during pregnancy. I certainly didn't have as many cramps and really painful attacks. I'm absolutely convinced IBS is dramatically affected by hormones because since I had my DD (18 months ago) I've had really bad IBS the week before my period, which then gradually clears up over the following week.
