Its not painful but uncomfortable. Like when you have swallowed something and you can feel it moving down into your stomach. Except it doesn't clear itself. I have had it on and off for a few days and it is really noticeable at the moment. Anyone had experience of this ?

I read an exercise on here that works for me. Shoulders right down, slowly raise chin till you're staring at the ceiling, slowly look.left and right. Hope it helps.

I get this with acid reflux. Was even referred to an ENT consultant about it as I had it for months on end, he took a cursory look and said GERD was the cause. Change of tablets - I'm on them anyway for a hiatus hernia but they'd obviously stopped worked and I was fine again.

My reflux has been playing up lately as I'm on antibiotics and the lump feeling is back. Try some gaviscon and if it doesn't help, trip to the doctors for stronger meds/investigation.

I have had this, in my case it's acid reflux burning my throat overnight.

I saw a gastric specialist following years of problems and turns out i have an ulcer and a hiatus hernia.

If it continues get a referral to a gastric specialist

I'd say that somebody has this problem and searched and came up with this thread. I see no problem asking about something on health board, old thread or not. Lump in the throat is a very common complaint of people with anxiety and health anxiety in particular. Have a look on the the nomorepanic boards.
