Is this sinus pain? Or something else?

I've got constant low level pain sort of behind my left eye, the eye socket at the inside of my nose, my cheek bone and eyebrow. It feels sore to touch and my eye feels puffy but doesn't look puffy. Is this a one sided sinus problem? Something else? I'm half way to convincing myself I have brain cancer......

I had this last week it was so painful it eventually cleared up. I reckon it’s something viral

I've had a really bad cold which is lingering, maybe it is viral. It's sore though!

Could be a sinus infection, they can be one sided.

Would a sinus infection be 'a bit sore' or are they normally really painful? I've never had one before. No blocked nose or discharge.

In my experience they start off "niggling", it's only once they've gone on for a bit and get worse that you realise it started off the week before but wasn't too painful then.
I've also had migraine pain start in my face around the sinus cavities, also one sided.

I'll try to get a doctor's appointment.... It's been like this for weeks now, not getting worse but not going away.

I've had this 'condition' for years now- as far as I'm concerned there is no 'cure' it's just managed with nasal sprays and medication, and not managed too well in my opinion. I have seasonal allergies (tree pollen etc, rhinitis - allergic to dust, and am allergic to my dogs - which doesn't help the flares, but a cold can set it off badly and at its worst I can't read as I feel sick/have to take painkillers. It's like a painful hangover. Moving my eyeballs hurts a lot, most of the time. Thats just me, and everyone is different-get checked out. (My dogs are non negotiable in life so that doesn't help me). It is extremely common and not life threatening. Good luck.

Go to the eye clinic first. It’s specsavers here who do the emergency clinic, not sure if that’s the same for all areas. Experience tells me as soon as you see a GP with an eye issue they will ask if you have been to the option. I suffer badly with sinus problems and if it gets so bad the pain is behind my eye I always get it checked by the eye people before contacting the GP. If you can go to the GP and say it’s been checked and it’s not an eye issue they can treat it straight away. If not they might send you away to have your eyes checked before offering any type of treatment.

Good advice here, thanks all!
