Burning feet and legs

Starting to get me down. I have vitamin b12 deficiency and type 2 diabetes.

For the last 2 years my legs and feet have been weird. Numbness in toes when walking much, heavy achey and burning sensation.

I got the type 2 diagnosis about 1.5 years ago, HBA1C was just on the cusp. Started metformin and got it down to 44. Had a foot check and she said pulses were good and strong.

Got the b12 deficiency diagnosis about 9 months ago, take a daily tablet.

But the burning and aching is getting worse every day. Its really getting me down. This all starter almost overnight it feels about 2 years ago.

Anyone had anything similar? Am going to be brave and go to gp next week but I have terrible health anxiety and don't know what to expect. I think it could be neuropathy as I am quite overweight. Is there a natural supplement I could try maybe? Or a painkiller?

Just to add I had iron checked and nothing flagged and I have tried magnesium and nothing happened although I'll admit I haven't been consistent with it.

I had neuropathy due to chemo. They gave me cream for my feet to help
