Third day of headache

Is getting me down. Started at work on Weds afternoon, nothing especially triggered it.
Now it’s Friday morning and I’ve only had a few hours respite yesterday mid afternoon.
Any suggestions? Yesterday morning was so bad I had an upset stomach and vomited then slept for a few hours and was OK that afternoon. It came back around teatime and hasn’t left!
Tried paracetamol, ibuprofen, cocodamol (not all at once obviously!) tried decongestant in case it’s sinus related. Tried menthol balm on temples and lymphatic facial massage. Well hydrated and made sure I ate bland food once o stopped vomiting
it’s about a 5-6/10 so not the worst but definitely enough to make you feel rubbish.

Speak to 111.
Or
Ask a high street optician to check your eyes
Or
Do an e- consult with your gp.
A 3 day headache needs professional advice.

Had eyes tested recently including an OCT (on hydroxychloroquine) which was fine.
I’ll do a GP consult once kids are dropped and sorted.

My sympathies. I suffer from headaches and they can really get you down. A few things-
avoid any codeine such as cocodamol as it can bring on the nausea (even though it is marketed for headaches)
sumatriptan is an excellent headache medication which the doctor can prescribe or you can buy from the pharmacy OTC. It’s not a painkiller and is much more effective at getting rid of headache. It’s generally very safe. I’m not a doctor so obviously check if it’s safe for you :-)
headache (in my experience) is normally caused by stress or anxiety - the cumulative ‘something’s not right’ kind. I normally can only see that once the headache has cleared. Worth thinking about what brought this on for you.
hope you feel better soon!

Try asprin. It opens the tiny bliss vessels in the brain. I used to get stubborn hormonal headaches and asprin used to help.

Blood not bliss

I would definitely be seeking prompt medical advice for a headache so bad it's made you vomit, especially if you don't have a history of migraine.

So it’s a lot better now, found some Covid tests and it was positive!
Relief to know what it is
