I have been really run down recently and a couple of days ago woke up with really sore gums on one side of my mouth - can you get sore gums from a low immune system? It feels like they are raw and brushing my teeth is agony - any suggestions ??

I am going to the dentist as soon as I can get an appointment but want to know if there could be a link with stress, worry and extreme tiredness and whether there are any wonder supplements out there?

yes it can be linked to worry. Multivits? Also try antibac mouthwash - Cordisol I think? which is supposed to be good for gum infections and mouth ulcers

yes. saw my dentist last week - mentioned the very same thing. he said'hmm....stress?'
so i have to see the hygineist which i hate and loath and will cost me £50.

Yes it is corsodol, that stuff. I would see the dentist about it but you can get corsodol in supermarkets in the meantime. I had a wisdom tooth out and got an infected gum afterwards - corsodol helped loads.

Sometimes people scrub too hard at their gums when brushing....so go easy on them. Also would recommend Corsodyl (work for a dentist)

oops! (knew I should have gone to the bathroom to check the spelling )

I bought Vicco SF toothpaste from a health food shop and it helped my gums a lot.
