Any dentists about or anyone that may be have had something similar, bony lump on gum?

Had a tooth extraction ( a very difficult one) about 7 years ago then About 4 years ago, I noticed a hard bony type lump on the side of the extracted gum. It cant be seen but felt.
Its hard like rock.
I have seen a few dentists over the years for regular check ups and have always asked, and theyve all said its fine but not really said what it could be.
My health anxiety is really bad at the
moment and this is my main worry constantly. I dont know if I'm being unreasonable. Has anyone had anything like this?

It sounds like a bone spur, which is totally harmless. I've had one for years/decades (I had quite a few teeth out as a teen for orthodontic work) and it feels exactly as you describe - a hard, bony (because it is!) lump.

I have a bony growth on the outside of one side of my jaw. I’ve had x rays and referral to maxillo facial, I had a second opinion from another consultant too and they all say it’s nothing to worry about.
i also have tori (bony growths) on the inside of my lower jaw.
I would love to know why I have these. I asked the doctors and dentist and they all just say there’s no particular reason.

Snap and I also have health anxiety 🤦🏻‍♀️ saw dentist few weeks back and he said it's normal gum tissue/ exostosis

It might be a torus mandibularis. Basically a bony lump in your mouth. I've got one and it's been there at least 10 years.

ive got that. im presuming it’s just a splinter of bone thats gone astray and ended up healing squint.

im not concerned about it at all. it wasn’t there prior. it appeared after. too much of a coincidence to be anything else.

yours has been checked multiple times so i think you can give yourself permission not to worry about this. if it was anything dodgy it would have been caught years ago by now.

Yeah, I mean I have seen a few dentists and always mentioned it, I did ask if it would be an idea to get referred to one dentist and she said there was no need.
Whenever Ive asked what it is, they've all said it can just happen. Well with someone with health anxiety that answer don't sit well with me lol.
