I've been taking dihydrocodiene for few days for back pain; 30mg am, 30 mg pm and 60 mg at bedtime.
I am a total space cadet. All I am doing is sleeping. It's better than the pain, but I have a 2 yr old.
Does the tiredness go away? I appear to have contracted narcolepsy at the moment.

codiene can have a sedative effect, so as long as you keep popping the pills you will be drowsy if thats how it affects you. Also makes you constipated so eat loads of prunes if you have the energy

Oh, yes, the constipation!

Could you try taking less - codeine is fab for killing pain but leaves you feeling spacey/queerly distanced from everything.

Could you take a smaller dose/fewer pills/less often so that you are getting enough to not be in pain but still function?

Not atm, chibi! Tis bloody awful.
I don't intend taking them once my physio gets in touch - 2 sessions with her and I'll be fine again, thank God.
