DD 23mo has earache. Do I go to docs?

Pulling her ears saying thye hurt. She has had a cold for about the past 6 weeks.

DO I need to take her to doctors as they don't precribe ab's now? (Am I right?)

Also, hairwashing. I usually lay her down in bath. Is this OK? Her ears get covered in water

it depends on the dr and the severity of the infection. My dd has had AB's 2 or 3 times for ear infections over the past couple of years. It could be quite painful for her to lie flat, so hairwashing sitting up might be less sore.
