Persistent finger numbness after nettle sting, should I get it checked?

Got badly stung by a nettle yesterday on the finger. There was no raised rash or weals, but my finger is still numb nearly 24 hours later and I am starting to worry about it. Bad pins and needles sensation, fizzy buzzing feeling in top third of finger. Googled and think it may be a trapped nettle hair irritating the nerve? How do I deal with this - will it resolve by itself? There is a little red dot but nothing else.

As somebody who is an avid gardener, you don’t need to worry about this. Your body will body will sort it out 99.99999% of the time. I find it can carry on for a few days. Allergy tablets will help. And there is the old dock leaf trick too. Or heated spoon to break down the toxin/proteins.

Oh thanks. I will try the heated spoon!
