Accidentally took three paracetamol within two hours, should I worry?

I took 2 paracetamol tablets this morning, then 2 hours later my head was still sore so I reached for the ibuprofen- didnt realise til I'd swallowed one that it was actually another paracetamol I'd lifted! So I've taken 3 paracetamol capsules within 2 hours. I hadn't had any earlier on in the day so I haven't exceeded the daily dose but should I be worried about that over dose?

We accidentally gave a 4yo her 9yo brother's paracetamol dose and my GP friend said if it didn't exceed the daily allowance, not to worry about it but not to do it again (obviously).

You be should be fine, just make sure you don’t take more than the daily dose in total today.

Obviously if you start to feel unwell, seek medical attention, but it’s very unlikely unless you’re extremely petite I’d have thought.

No, you were being sensible. Paracetamol is brilliant if used as directed and as others have said, the daily dose of 8 tablets is the absolute safe maximum but try to observe the 2 tabs every 4-6 hours too. Regularly taking 3 or 4 twice a day, for example, would not safe

You will be fine OP, just do not have more than 8 in 24 hours. Will you need more do you think? Ibuprofen could be taken if not CI instead, or wait 6 hours after the last one to take more and obey the 8/24hr rule

It's been 7 hours now and I haven't taken any more. My headache is mostly gone so dont think I'll take any more this evening.
