Has anyone ever had surgery to remove scar
tissue/adhesions after having a C-section?
bit of a back story. I had my daughter 5 years ago and since she was born I’ve had painful sex, painful periods and not felt 100% also took a year a half to fall pregnant with eldest. Had ultrasound and blood test all normal.
fast forward I fell pregnant randomly and we had our baby 6 months ago. But I still have that pain during sex and pain during periods and ovulation has got worse.
I went for a mummy mot / women’s physio and she felt my stomach and said I’ve got a lot of scar tissue and gave me a cup to do cupping scar massage with around my stomach. She also said I’ve got recti diastasis so she’s gave me some exercises to do.

But I was wondering if there was a fast way of getting rid of them now I’ve finally got an answer as to what could be causing my pain I want them gone now. On my period tracker it said I’m ovulating today and I’ve felt like crap all day my stomach is like I’m pregnant and I just feel so uncomfortable.

I have had lower left abdominal pain for years on and off and doctors have long suspected it is due to adhesions caused by scar tissue, as I have had 3 surgeries (2 C-sections and 1 tubal ligation).

However, in order to be diagnosed properly, I was told I would need a laparascpopy (key-hole surgery) under GA. Which I have refused to have. As more surgery = more scar tissue = more adhesions = more pain!

@Meredusoleil I was on the wait list for a laparoscopy but then I fell pregnant as they thought it may be endometriosis.
What did you do in the end or are you still suffering?

I recently had another ultrasound scan (which resulted in a UTI needing antibiotics), but the pain seems to have gone since!

I have also had very heavy periods my whole life, but especially since the tubal ligation and take both transexamic acid and mefanemic acid for them. As a result, I have developed iron deficiency anemia, so also have iron tablets.

Tbh, I am hoping my periods will be stopping soon (around the age for menopause) as they are getting more spaced apart now.

So, long story short, I just put up with it pretty much.
