Possible IBD?

I have had some symptoms that seem to be slowly progressing over the last 7 weeks. Passing alot of mucus, occasional bloody mucus or blood mixed with stool, tiredness, very loud tummy sounds when at rest, generally feeling run down. Calprotectin was sitting at 800 last week and I am awaiting GI contacting me. I know they are looking for an IBD but obviously I am hoping this isn't the case. Has anyone had anything like this and it's resolved?

Also geographic tongue, which I've intermittently had for years but this seems to have flared up along side the other symptoms at the moment. Does anyone have any advice/reassurance?

Yes I’ve just had a second bout of this. Three years ago calprotectin >2000 with similar symptoms to you. Ended up on 2ww so had colonoscopy and ct scan. It showed a bit of diverticular disease and some non specific inflammation that didn’t quite meet the criteria for IBD. It resolved with antibiotics and mesalazine. Currently exactly the same happening and re-referred to GI ( my local waiting list for this was 10 months! But I contacted PALS and got myself on the list for OPD cancellations and one came up within a week) Now waiting for another colonoscopy to see what’s going on - the theory is it’s a non specific colitis that might be loosely related to IBD
