CA125 super high 554

I had slight niggle near my right ovary for a while, so went to the doctors. They tested me for CA125 which came back 554! I then had an ultrasound where adenomyosis was found and a 1cm solid cyst on my left ovary. I then had a CT scan which I don't think showed much (consultant called me, very hard to hear). I've just come back from an MRI and I'm just so scared and so fatigued by being so stressed for the past month! I just wondered if anyone was having similar tests and wanted to chat. It feels really big to say it out loud to anyone other than my partner.

I am a few weeks down the line from you and my diagnosis has not been great. What I will say is that you are now on a pathway and they will get to the bottom of what it is quickly and set you on a treatment plan if you need one. I hope you hear soon.

I'm so sorry to hear that @Pieceofpurplesky . How are you doing? Have you got a plan in place?

Chemo starts next week. I am still in shock and angry. Had no symptoms.

Hi @rose7120some similarities to you, ultrasound found adenomyosis and fluid, now waiting on mri next week. I haven’t had a blood test.
I hope you get positive news from the mri.

@PieceofpurpleskyI hope your start to chemo goes as well as possible. You posted on my other thread. It must have been a terrible shock

1cm is small, although I’ll be honest, the fact that it is solid is a concern. Are you on the two week pathway? I have bilateral cysts (one on each ovary), and was on the two week pathway, however I also had postmenopausal bleeding and they removed a polyp as well which was benign. With cysts they look to see what features they have such as if they are solid or not, if they have complexities and if they have vascularities ( a blood supply).

@Pieceofpurpleskythat must have been a horrible shock for you, as you didn't have symptoms. I don't have symptoms either, I went to the docs because I thought it was a possible issue with my c section scar, but the cyst they found is on the other side. What is your treatment plan? I hope the first chemo goes okay.

@whatevenisascitesthank you for replying. Good luck with the MRI. I felt quite panicky at the start, but by the end was almost napping. Was very glad it was over with. I hope you get positive news from it.

@fluffythecat1yes I am on the 2 week although I had the original blood test at the start of April. Very much struggling with the stress of it it all now.

They move very quickly on the pathway to reassure you and 1cm is small which is also a good thing.

Thanks @fluffythecat1i'm worried the MRI show up something that has been missed by the CT and ultrasound. Not that I'm sure what was shown by the CT. Did you have the cysts removed? Are you no longer on the 2 week pathway?
