Is this really bad? Google says yes doctor says monitor for a month and might need statins but it’s not high enough to need yet.

im reasonably fit not overweight - could be genetic grandparents died young before I was born from heart problems but no one knows much about it

Not judging at all but do you drink a lot of alcohol? That's known for pushing up the triglycerides.

@CrowsInMyGardenI do actually yes it’s really crept up in last year for a mixture of reasons. Usually 1 bottle of wine most nights. I didn’t realise there was a link so will look into this. Got bloods booked again in a month, wonder if I stop now can I make a difference that quick? Didn’t drink anything last night and planned my whole weekend around abstaining!

I know as I was the same. Drinking had crept up since lockdown. I've been using the Try Dry app and only having a drink once a week if that. I have a repeat blood test next Thursday. I'm hoping my triglycerides have lowered. Wish you luck. We can do it!

amazing thank you for the information. Would you mind coming back and telling me if it has had an impact? I’m sure it will. And yes it started with lockdown but now is more of a habit glass of wine with dinner and then just continue to wind down but it’s no good for me I know.
