Ascites in Morrison’s pouch

So, I was referred for an ultrasound of pelvis and abdomen due to pelvic pain and increased urination. The ultrasound showed ascites in Morrison’s pouch, and kidney tissue changes on both sides. As well as adenomyosis.

I think my results were reviewed by a urologist, who has recommended an mri of pelvis and abdomen.

I also had bloods done to check blood count and kidney/ liver function which came back ok. Slightly anemic.

wondering if anyone has had anything similar? I’m waiting for the mri referral to go through, debating going private as it’s taking so long to even be added to the booking system.

I am having similar issues as well. Do you have bloating and or a hard/firm stomach.

I have similar and have been diagnosed with cancer. Low Grade Serous Carcinoma. I had been drained whilst waiting for Chemo but it is filling up again.
Sending lots of positive thoughts to you both that you have a better outcome! Please ask any questions.

@ArianaRoseyes bloating which fluctuates, it’s not always there, but I can’t see a pattern. My mri appointment actually came through today, for the 16th May. I’ll let you know how it goes.

@Pieceofpurpleskyso sorry to hear that. I hope your treatment goes well. Keep us updated on your progress.

They said after my ultrasound they didn’t think anything sinister… but I guess that’s not for sure.
Hopefully they’ll be able to explain the kidney changes, and why the fluid is there.

So my mri result, both renal and pelvic has been flagged as urgent. The GP wants to see me on Wednesday to discuss. All I can do is speculate which is not helping me!
