Ds1's foot is finally FLAT!! I have never seen it flat!! (yes I cried)

Ds1 has cerebral palsy which meant he walked on his tiptoes and had a big operation on his leg last month to release his hamstrings, ankles and hips. He has been in plaster since. the plaster came off today and his foot is completely flat, I mean like normal flat!! I cried when I saw him walking with a flat foot....

its a fab foot!! He has 3 tiny scars on his ankle, and a big S on the back of his leg above the knee. I wasn't expecting such a large scar if I am honest, but it was worth it

Was he scared having the plaster cut off? We spend hours just outside the fracture clinic, and it seems to be the worst part - that noisy saw buzzing so close to the flesh! A big cast to cut off, too.
