Hi all,

I recently had an MRI and they’ve suggested I have mild small vessel disease. I’m 37 years I’ve had serious migraines most of my adult life and always tired but now the fatigue is kicking my butt.

I can’t find much on people my age being diagnosed with this. I’m being referred to neurologist but it’s going to be around a years wait.

I Have a lot of forgetfulness, trouble with my sentences but I’ve put this down to having a very stressful couple of years and being a single mum and basically only communicating with small humans a lot haha

Just putting this here in case anyone of a similar age has been diagnosed and what happened with them.

Sorry to hear your news. I would be trying to get your modifiable risk factors as good as possible. Blood pressure, blood sugars, cholesterol, healthy weight, not smoking, minimal alcohol, healthy diet. Get in touch with your GP and see how they can help.

As MRI scans get better and show even finer detail, we will see more of this in younger people. Good luck 💐
