Bumped head

DD 19 mo just fell off a chair on to my hard wooden floor. She fell forwards and hit her head. I feel terrible as we had taken the baby set away from the tripp trapp the other day as she kept climbing on to her older brother's tripp trapp and then getting cross when we put her back in hers. What should I be watching for in terms of concussion? She seems okay but am dead worried . Guess will be putting the baby set back on. (Bad mother).

as long as she isn;t walking all wonky, she should be fine...!!!

BUT, joking aside, things to look for are...

confusion
excessive vomiting (once is fine, more than that needs checking)
being very sleepy and not rousable.

these were the signs given to us when DS1 dropped a brick on DS2's head from a 6ft wall when DS2 was 3.....

DS2 was fine, and no lasting damage at all (well, I don;t hink), and like I say, t'was a brick!!

I would bet that your guilt is worse than her head!

Thanks for your messages. So far she is as normal although has a nice bruise to show off now! I will keep watch over her tonight though - thanks for that tip. Glad your ds is okay Smallwhitecat. I'm off to resurrect the baby kit for the tripp trapp and move the step down so she can no longer stand up in her chair (the monkey!) Psychomum - the incident with the brick !!!
