Eye Lens Replacement

I wear varifocal spectacles and I am thinking of getting lens replacement surgery. I don’t have cataracts so it would purely be to correct my vision so I won’t need to wear glasses at all. Has anyone had this procedure and what is your experience

My dad had it for cataracts, it was fast and straightforward. You have a lot of eye drops to take afterwards to prevent infection. Well worth it.

I did last year. Had my distance corrected so it’s fabulous and night driving is so much easier in particular. Still need readers for very up close stuff. Very easy experience, had it done on a Thursday and was night driving on Saturday.

Would you have varifocal lenses fitted? Or one eye set to reading distance and one set to driving distance?

I’m not sure. I’m scared I wouldn’t be able to adjust as I can’t get used to multi focal contacts. @LadyGardenersQuestionTime- did you wear varifocal spectacles before ?

@Fluffpuff multifocal lens implants work the same as multifocal contact lenses, so it's a bit of a risk!
