Dd2 is 14 and this morning when she got up started to feel sick. She went to the bathroom then went all dizzy and fell over.I had to help her back to the bedroom. She is laying under the fan atm and says she still feels dizzy but not sick.
I'm going to ring the GP's but can't get there till later today.(no car this morning)But i'm abit worried.

Could it be an ear infection or vertigo do you think? I'm sure the GP will be able to reassure you.

I did ask her if she has had ear ache, she said she hasn't.She can't move atm without feeling dizzy.
I just wish i could take her to gp's this am.

Anybody know what vertigo is.I know it can make you dizzy but don't know why.

Vertigo is a balance thing - could be blocked ears, could be anything really. Could she be anaemic? Has she been eating properly?

Its an inner ear infection/inflammation - it doesn't hurt, but affects the bits responsible for balance, and usually makes you v dizzy and sometimes sick - not too bad when laying still, but bad when you move as your brain gets all confused.

MIL gets it from time to time, and it just has to run its course unfortunatly

Hmmm sounds like vertigo. She said she felt sick but that has gone off now she is laying still. She's gone back to sleep,so i'll leave her for now.
If it is vertigo, will the gp give her ab's for it?
