Recurring sinus infection after antibiotics

I had a sinus infection for a couple of months which cleared up almost instantly after taking a course of antibiotics. Three weeks on from finishing the antibiotics and it's back 😫Has anyone had a recurring sinus infection and how did you get rid of it? I've started doing nasal rinses, steam etc again.

I had the same , 5 weeks antibiotics then it returned , I steamed that helps I put peppermint oil in the water, also warm oat bag acriss the face , that helped , but now refered to ENT had scan waiting for the dr to get back , mine have been so bad it made me feel sick, dizzy and just miserable , consultant told me to continue with nasel presribed drops and neilmed wash outs untill she has looked at scan results, suspected sinusitis. I would go back to G.P , The sinus problem for me is one of three health issues I have so like a bus have come along all at once x

Sorry you're suffering as well, it is miserable. I've found massaging my face helps the most - have you tried that?

Have you tried Neil Med’s saline sinus rinse? It’s like a neti pot. You might want to to do the rinse twice a day. I’d recommend buying the silicone Squeegie bottle, not the plastic sqeezie bottle as the silicone one can be boiled to sterilise. And also boiling water for ten minutes, and cooling it, before you do it. It’s a bit of a palaver, but once you get into a routine, it’s worthwhile. My ENT doctor advised me to do it.

I have a neti pot which works well. How is Neilmed different?

Sorry to hear you're having multiple health problems at the moment. Hope the ENT doctor can offer you something helpful 🤞 I've had ongoing sinus issues since early autumn and am really fed up. I always get hay-fever from early Feb to mid-April because I'm allergic to birch pollen, so when my sinuses didn't clear up this winter I assumed the hay-fever was prolonging them. But they've worsened again in the last few days and I'm so fed up! Have you heard about sinus problems affecting a lot of people this year? I'm wondering if it's a horrid Covid or flu complication, I'm sure I had both over the winter.
