Sore C section scar

Hi , I had a c section 20 years and had no problems but the last couple of days it’s a bit sore and red , how could this be after 20 years ?
I have put fragrance free moisturiser on it
Any advice please ? Has anyone experienced this after a long period of time ?

Try sudocrem it should work in a couple of days. Mine does occasionally and it was 25 years ago.

Do you get enough vitamin C?

A deficiency can cause old scars to hurt and even reopen, if it's particularly bad.

Me too sometimes even after many years. I am always very careful to pat it dry thoroughly, but if it does flare up I find Aloe Vera cream helps.
