Anyone had their tubes tied?

I'm seriously considering having this done, has anyone any experience of this, what does the procedure involve?

Haven't had it done, but have you looked into Essure? Not available on the NHS, but sounds like a good option. I'm vaguely thinking of it for after we have DC3 / if we decide we definitely don't want DC3.
