Microgynon pill - quick question (poss tmi)

I started taking the pill at the beginning of my period this month so been on it maybe two and a half three weeks at most.

Just now have been to the loo and my knickers are quite heavily blood-stained - the mark is dry though and not really any blood when I wipe [odd]

I know going on the pill can muck about with your bleeding, but does this sound normal? Am fretting a bit. Apologies for gross over-sharing re: state of knickers.

I've been taking for a long time now and never had this with microgynon, when I started back on it after giving birth I did have little spots of blood but it wasnt as heavy as you describe. If I were you I'd give it a week or so and if things have improved go back to your gp.

i was on microgynon for 3 years after the birth of my kids, and occasionally would get breakthrough bleeding, which apparently is bleeding midcycle around the time you would normally be ovulating. I would also get period cramps and bloatedness. Doc said nothing they could do, tried another type of pill, made me grumpy and irrational!

So probably nothing to panic about then?

It's just odd, because I haven't had any sensation of bleeding like you do with a period iyswim? I always thought breakthrough bleeding was like spotting, very little amounts over a day or two (maybe my idea of spotting is off!) - this looks like there was a bit of a gush at some point (sorry) and I can't believe I didn't notice anything.
