Eating/drinking after crown

Just had a crown fitted. Dentist didn’t really give much after advice, just said don’t eat/drink for 4-6 hours and don’t have hot or cold drinks for 48 hours.

The last meal I had was Friday breakfast, I’ve been managing on spoonfuls of yoghurt or mashed potato since then. Haven’t had anything at all since yesterday lunchtime (was v painful) and I’m so hungry :(

Would it be okay to have a warm cup of tea or something when I get home? Through a straw? The last lot of anaesthetic was at 10.30.

it’s a big molar, if that makes a difference

You might have had a drink by now
But I was told to have tea or coffee warm rather than hot

Hope you're feeling alright
