Any suggestions for post viral diarrhoea?

I had a virus last week on Wednesday and Thursday, not bad just a temperature and feeling a bit rough. Since then I've had severe diarrhoea. This has happened before following a virus but usually just for 24-48 hours, This time it's not showing much sign of easing up. My gut is quite sore generally and I'm getting leg cramps at night probably from dehydration even though I try and drink loads.

Any suggestions to ease things a bit?

I think you need to see a doctor asap and give your GP a stool sample to see if you actually have something like e-coli.
But in terms of helping, apple purée is soothing, the pectin is good. You can make your own or the easier thing is jars of baby apple purée. Rehydration fluids too, sachets from the chemist, to help you keep your fluids up.
