I feel so nauseous all the time, how can I put a stop to this?

Despite endless gastro tests including 2 colonoscopies, a pill camera endoscopy, a bile acid malabsorption scan, and a recent gastroscope which came back clear I am finding myself feeling so nauseous almost every day. I actually find it hard to understand how my recent gastroscope came back clear because I feel so awful every day (I’ve seen the images and my stomach lining looks perfect!).

I have suffered from IBS since 1998 which I had managed well with the low fodmap diet and avoiding certain trigger foods but I rarely had upper gut issues. However, around 6 years ago I noticed that I started to get nauseated and burp a lot around mid cycle but this has slowly progressed over the last year of so and I find myself feeling this way 99% of the time. One saving grace is that I (so far 🤞) have never vomited (although I do get diarrhoea from time to time).

It’s a deep gnawing nausea, acidic, I burp loads which relieves it for moments then it starts up again, my stomach gurgles lots too and I end up with gas up and down. I m careful what I eat and only drink water. I avoid dairy, gluten, spicy and acidic foods and artificial sweeteners as I know they all upset me.

It is really getting me down and I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried PPI’s but they make my IBS worse, gaviscon does little to help, ginger products do little either and so I just live with it (Pepto bismol sometimes helps but not much).

It takes my appetite away because let’s face it, who wants to eat when they feel sick to the stomach but I can’t go long between food as that makes it worse too.

Has anyone suffered with anything like this and have you found a cure? I am getting desperate for it to go away, it’s actually making me very depressed.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer, but following because I'm in the same position. Endoscopy came back clear, now waiting on a date for my colonoscopy.

Sometimes I can ease my nausea with preggy pops (I'm not pregnant but thought I'd try them anyway) and Trebor softmints.

I’m sorry you have similar issues, so frustrating when you can’t get to the bottom of it, isn’t it?

This is going to sound very strange but I suffered from nausea for a couple of years and tried various medications.
Then last October I realised that I have a banana every day so stopped eating them and ha

I can't eat bananas either, they make me feel really nauseated.
