Blood tests show low vitamin D and abnormal creatinine, what might GP prescribe?

Had some blood tests done at the drs. They've come back as vitamin D low at 20.

Also creatine? Abnormal? The app just says "pick up script" does any one know what this could be for? I've googled but I don't really understand what it's about? Can anyone help?

The prescription is likely to be for a high strength Vit D loading protocol to get your levels back up. You usually take a short course of high strength Vit D for 1-2 months.

Creatine or was it creatinine? numbers can be impacted by dehydration, exercise and supplements so if your GP is concerned they will probably order a follow up test.

as ever, blood tests need interpreting in context, but most likely they'll advise taking some vitamin d. Creatinine ...depends on whether it's high/low, how high/low it is, what the trend is, what your medical history is. Doesn't necessarily mean anything worrying if it's a bit high...very unlikely to mean anything worrying if it's a bit low (and it all needs interpreting in the context of the rest of the bloods).
