Painful shoulder joint

I have a painful shoulder for over a year but it's been much worse over the last couple of months. I have good range of motion and it isn't a frozen shoulder, I've been told the synovial fluid around the joint is inflamed and have had a couple of steroid injections to try and calm the inflammation. Neither have been successful. I am now trying to engage with the physio exercises and am doing them regularly but it's still bloody painful with certain movements and/or if I catch it wrong. Is also worse at night. Wondered if anyone else has had this problem and how long did it take to see an improvement and/or for it to disappear. I'm booked in for another steroid injection but after two failed attempts I'm not too hopeful atm.

I had a similar shoulder injury. It takes ages to improve. I had physio and did weights at home for about 9 months before it got appreciably better.

There is no quick fix but if you stick to the exercises and use sufficiently heavy weights you’ll get there in the end.
