Deaf after virus

I'm pretty deaf in my left ear after a virus. Keeps popping. I can hear a little but very muffled.
Has anyone had this and did it go? I'm worried I'm permanently deaf? GP looked and said no infection but didn't seem overly concerned?
I've never had this before.

I lost 50% of my hearing after a virus.

The specialist said I should inhale 6 drops pure lavender oil in a bowl of two parts hot/one part cold for 15 minutes to reduce the inflammation. I did this for a week and definitely noticed s difference.

It may or may not come back. This happened to me. You need an urgent steroid injection into your ear by a consultant audiologist. If you can afford to go privately please do.

Please get a second opnion, my dad lost hearing from covid

I had this, my tubes were still blocked..... I used otex ear drops and it cleared it up.

I had this after Covid about 4yrs ago. It did eventually clear but took a while.
