Recurring sore, inflamed tongue with raised bumps, any tips for relief?

Hi in the last year or so I've repeatedly got a red, inflamed tongue with very raised, sore 'lie bumps' on the tip. I am anaemic so wondered if that is why but I've also come down with some sort of bug (tired, mildly shivery at times, diarrhoea, vomiting). Usually these bugs pass quite quickly but the tongue persists. Has anyone got any tips that make it a bit less sore?

Sort out your anaemia? Are you on iron supplements?

It can be a sign of vit b deficiency. Take vit b complex supplement, eat rice krispies or marmite on toast for breakfast. Check toothpaste doesn't contain Sodium laurel sulphate and switch if it does. Take your iron supplement with vit C, eg orange or grapefruit juice or kiwi fruit.

I get this and Rice Krispies are like a wonder drug. They have added vit b complex. A bowl a day for a week helps. Also helps with mood as B deficiency can cause depressive symptoms.

Have you been tested for coeliac disease?

No I haven't.
Thank you for the tips - will try the rice krispies!

I had all these symptoms GP diagnosed thrush from my mouth right through my body. I had Nystatin for oral use and something else that I can't recall.

Yeah, I had this and found out I had developed an allergy to my toothpaste. Then had to be careful because my mouthwash bothered me as well. I avoid chemical and mint mouthwash/toothpaste now.

ps. if you do have coeliac disease, you'll want to choose the GF Rice Krispies. The regular kind are not GF.
