Fainting and dizziness

I have for the last few days been experiencing dizziness when I stand up or move too quickly. Last night I got out of bed to go to the loo, got just outside the bedroom then passed out in the hall. I now have a split lip a bruised chin and thumb. I am still feeling dizzy today I checked my BP this morning and it read
107-71 103-68
DH thinks I should go to the walk in clinic, but I think it can wait till GP surgery opens on Monday.
Thoughts?
Thanks. Meg.

Between 90/60 and 120/80 is classed as normal but I know from experience that when it gets to the lower mark it makes me faint as well . If it's something that happens quite often it's worth a chat with your go .
I'm a bit of a fainter when I'm ill and I've learnt the feeling of when it's imminent .
Just last week I laid down on the bathroom floor for a while as felt a faint coming on .

Obv it could be something different, but when I’ve had fainting spells previously, it has either been anaemia (accompanied by feeling lethargic/catching colds easily) or UTIs with no pain/difficulty weeing, which essentially meant I didn’t notice it until it progressed and I started fainting and also having back/kidney pain as well.

Also as soon as you get the early indicators (blurred vision/rushing noise in ears etc), just get down to the ground/put your legs higher than your head to avoid fainting and hurting yourself again. Those injuries sound nasty!

Maybe pots or orthostatic hypotension?

Take your BP whilst sitting down, then stand up quickly and take it again. This will tell a lot.

I’m also a fainter and my blood pressure varys from 90/60 to 110/70 but at times has been lower.
My advice is when you stand up, do it slowly. When you get out of bed, sit up first. Give your blood pressure a chance to adjust.

Drink lots. Add a bit of salt to your food.
I wouldn’t worry too much though: in general it’s better to have low blood pressure than high blood pressure, just be wary if the fainting risk. I have a chipped tooth as one of my fainting souvenirs when I fainted into the bathroom sink!!
