Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumour diagnosis, anyone else had this?

Just before Christmas a lump very quickly grew on the side of my ring finger. It didn’t go and if anything got a little bigger and took on a bluish tinge.
Visited doctor on 4th feb and to be fair by yesterday, 4th march id had X-ray, ultrasound and an MRI and I received the diagnosis yesterday.
Apparently I now I have to wait for the hospital to get in touch as they will have an MDT meeting with a plastic surgeon, Sarcoma consultant etc.
I am reassured that these are almost always benign but I’m still a bit shaken by it as I often have joint pain (late peri) and I’m a little worried I have more than the one.
Has anyone else had one of these? Any surgery? If so, how did it go and how long did it take to recover?

Just bumping this, I’m having the tumour removed next week. It’ll done under regional anaesthetic whatever that is. I’ve been told I won’t be driving or typing moving it until the stitches are out after 12-14 days.
Has anyone else had anything like this?

@cleaningandclearing Sorry to hear your diagnosis. I’ve never had this, so not speaking from experience, but regional anaesthetic means they’ll numb the whole area - whole hand or maybe arm - so you won’t feel anything. I hope it all goes well.

Thank you, it’s pretty rare, can’t find a great deal of real life experiences online. Lots of medical papers but I can’t get a feel for how long it will take to heal (tendon and nerves will be moved to get the tumour out).
