Right sided abdominal pain, supposedly not appendicitis?

I had pain which started in my belly button on Sunday night, on Monday it had moved approx 2 inches to the right side of my belly button. It doesn’t hurt generally during day to day activities, but if I press on a very specific location there, it creates a burning type of pain. The pain doesn’t come if pressed directly into my tummy, but more if I push from above and downwards?

Went to the GP yesterday, referred to the hospital as sounded a bit too much like appendicitis, but they ruled it out based on a blood test and a poke around on my belly. I’m otherwise totally fine, no vomiting or diarrhoea etc, well in myself.

Hospital just kind of said “oh it might be damage to your muscle” but I cannot for the life of me think of anything I have done, the pain in the belly button just came out of nowhere and has since moved too.

I am also on my period but have never had this type of pain on my period before so I don’t think it is linked. I’m 10 months post c-section so it got me thinking have I torn something inside, or could it be a hernia/ovarian cyst, etc etc etc - but the hospital have just kind of dismissed it.

Has anyone had any similar experiences with this before? I’m a 31 year old female, defo not pregnant, and no history of endometriosis etc either.

Thanks!

I had pain on my right side and it was appendicitis but my friend had pain as well, worse than mine, and it wasn’t . They took him ablood test and ct scan. They let him go home and said to come back if he gets it again. Been fine since.

It could be fibroids - I get similar sharp pains and have several on each side. They hurt in the night if I have been lying on my side too long and sometimes when walking. I only found out via and internal ultrasound and they said they don't usually do anything for them so just get on with it. It might be worth asking for a scan to check it isn't endometriosis?

Could be gallstones, gallbladder is just right of belly button and just below. Is the pain worse after eating, that’s a sign.

Could be adhesions (scar tissue) from your c section, ovarian cyst, hernia to name but a few. If your bloods came back normal then it sounds like the cause is not infection e.g appendicitis but something else. If the pain persists go back to your GP again for an urgent ultrasound referral.

Hope you can get sorted soon.
