To call OOHs or not?

I had a virus starting about 3 weeks ago. Head cold, sore throat, fever and then it developed into a horrible deep cough. The cough has since cleared but for the past ten days I’ve had pain in my right lower lung. Every time I’ve thought to go and get it checked it has disappeared but then comes back again. Today it has returned and the pain seems to be spreading across my back and round the front of rib cage.
I’m not sure whether to call NHS24 or not as it’s not unbearable pain but something just doesn’t feel right. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time and have no other symptoms apart from a runny nose still!
Just wondering if anyone has ever had anything similar? It’s been so strange.

I’d call if I were you

I would call to be on the safe side.

call them, it’s exactly what they are there for. If they don’t feel you need to be seen today they will give advice

MassiveOvaryaction · 14/02/2026 20:26

Call and let them decide if you need to be seen. Could be pleurisy, could be unrelated.

That warrants a call, yes.
