I had my cholesterol levels checked and got the results as follows with no real idea what they mean apart from my total is too high as it should be below 5.

total 5.4
triglycerides 1.7
HDL 2.5
LDL 2.1
non-HDL 2.9
total/HDL ratio 2.2

thanks.

It’s satisfactory. They don’t stick strictly to the 5 for total cholesterol as the CVD risk is calculated on several things.
Google Qrisk3 you will be able to work out your own risk score. It’s great if it is below 5, so maybe some lifestyle tweaks to improve it, but it’s not a huge issue if you don’t smoke, your weight, bp & family health is okay.

Thank you, I had a look on the website and it said I’ve got a 1.7% 10 year risk and relative risk of 0.6 so dosen’t sound too bad.
