Burning type of pain in top joint of forefinger

Any ideas of what this could be? I’m in my fifties so was thinking arthritis as maybe I’m at the stage where things are just getting worn out. But it started quite suddenly and feels quite acute. It’s my left forefinger (i’m L-handed so dominant hand.) I haven’t injured it, it just came on a week ago seemingly from nowhere

Have a look at Achenbach syndrome and see if it's similar, though there is generally a bruised appearance with that. but that is a pain that suddenly comes on, on the finger, leaves a bruised appearance and then clears up. I get it occasionally.

I believe mine is a Heberden’s node. Sometimes it feels like it is being stuck with a pin!

No swelling or bruising. Looks perfectly normal. I’ve heard of Heberden’s nodes but I thought that was a kind of lump, or deformity of the joint which showed? I can relate to the feeling of a pin sticking in - it’s quite a sharp pain. But it started abruptly with no outward sign of anything wrong so it’s all a bit odd
