Getting a bit nervous

DH is in hospital today, supposedly day - case surgery.
Procedure is endoscopic bowel resection for a likely benign but fast growing lesion. Slightly bigger procedure than polyp removal but similar method.

Been waiting for this since August.
Dropped him off at 7am as instructed.

Procedure scheduled 8am presume first on list. Heard at 8.15 was definitely going ahead after slightly flaky sats. Heard nothing since.

Surgeon had said 2 hours, admin/people nurse said 4 hours, its now 7 hours.

Fully understand stuff doesnt aways go to plan but getting slightly concerned as hours tick by and no news. He has 2 phones so should be no issue with battery.

Tick, tick, tick

The waiting is so hard, I remember the wait for DH's surgery. Is there a number you can call if you don't hear in the next hour or so?

Sorry, almost as soon as I posted this I got the please collect me now call. And its 45mins away.

Dashed out through commuter traffic, waited an hour until they were happy for him to go

Apparently bigger and more complex lesion than expected but its all out and he's home recovering..
